Canada's largest city Toronto is facing one of its largest dificits in history of over $815M among the first times the city approaches $1 Billion in deficit

 

 

The city blames low transit ridership resulting in a lot of lost revenue and extra costs associated with Covid-19

 

Mayor John Tory is pleading with the Province and Federal Government and begging for financial support or it says it will have no choice but to raise taxes very significantly to cover the massive shortfall
