Kim Petras says her album is still a skeleton

Work has started on an album composed of new tracks and offcuts from that summer of sessions in Laurel Canyon. Kim calls it “a really pretty skeleton. It’s got the wig on. Braids with ribbons, but it’s still a skeleton — a hot slutty skeleton!” She can see the finished product in her head now. “I know the songs, and I know the order of them, but I just have to go finish them,” she says. “It’s a very eclectic world of new people that I’ve worked with, so it’s [a case of] fitting into their schedule.” Max Martin, of course, but also Ian Kirkpatrick — one of the masterminds behind Dua Lipa’s “Don’t Start Now” — who she’s written three tracks with.

also I said this in the other thread, but I think she decided to move on from the other album because look at the people she’s been working with now…

Hope she still addresses the Luke situation, she can't just work with him for 6 years despite everything and then suddenly move on like "ok NOW the backlash is too much"

She is signed to Luke’s Republic imprint, Amigo Records. We don't know her contract, she may still have to work with him.

Keep hoping. She only has a career because of a publishing deal signed with him right before the Kesha case blew up. She's bound to him until he lets her go - which knowing him, will be never. It seems like the best she can do rn is work with other producers and not ones from his camp that then result in him getting production credits as well. She has alluded as causally as possible in interviews a desire to move away, but she has to be VERY careful what she says public unless she wants to face a lawsuit from him.

Kesha came forward in 2014??? She signed with Luke in 2016?? 

Kim chose to work with Luke, they had a publishing deal until last year. During that time she was never obligated to work with him, she made that choice. 

Yeah she's in a tricky situation rn but gee I wonder who could've seen this coming
