Taylor Swift

Disclaimer: I do like some of her music.

Her lyrics are clever, well constructed, and super catchy, but I feel they are immature. I also feel like her whole brand is to generic.

Lana and Bjork. I think they're good and interesting but I never had the instinct to listen to them again or add them to a playlist of mine.

Listen to my debut pop single 'Want You Bad'! (link on Insta)

1) Taylor Swift. I’ve listened all of her albums, but I can’t really connect with her. I like some of her singles, especially the 1989 and REP ones. I also think she is a mediocre singer and I really love some good pipes from live shows, she isn’t a great performer either. I admire though her lyricism and that she is really hardworking.

2) Katy Perry. She has some bobs, but I don’t like the majority of her songs.

3. Drake. Do I need to comment on him?

4. Eminem. I just can’t stand him.

5. Nicki Minaj. She is so annoying and egomaniac. She could have been more successful if she kept her mouth shut. Some of her songs are bobs though.

When we're not together tell me everything's gonna be alright

Rosalía and Kylie Minogue.

Rosalía's music sounds interesting, but I find her voice to be incredibly annoying. Similar to Kylie. I reeeallllly wanna like Kylie (and some songs, I do), but her voice is off-putting to me.

I'm really struggling to become a major fan of new acts for a long time now. The last time that I've really stanned for a new act was Lana back in 2012, a whole decade ago. A lot of the new ones just leave me cold, I can't get the same feeling I had when I started loving acts in the past. Thing is, a lot of singers now, they're talented but they're just not applying their talent correctly. I know they're capable of great things but the great things are few and far between. It's one of the worst feelings when you're sucked in with 2 great opening singles and then you hear the entire album and find they were the only 2 really great songs on the entire album, a trend that's becoming all too common. I tend to be the other way round, preferring album tracks to singles, but really only for my faves. For everyone else, their singles tend to be their strongest work so if the singles don't cut it, it's usually a sign that I won't like the completed album. Right now, there's a selection of artists who I think are good but ultimately aren't moving me with their complete albums - Blackpink, Ava Max, Maneskin, Rina Sawayama. The kind of artists who can deliver knockout singles but their albums as a whole aren't quite on the same level or their singles are very hit and miss. It makes you wary to buy into them too much in case you end up disappointed.
