Rihanna: Super Bowl is one thing, new music is another thing

I feel so sorry for the navy. She's probably the only artist who is given the biggest performing platform, maybe in the world, only to not kick off a new era after with such high anticipation.

She’s just not in it anymore, you can tell. 

I’m sorry she’s a great performer but that’s it. Most of her songs have been written and produced for her. She shops for albums/songs. She barely has a say other than “I like this” or “I don’t like this”. Some of her biggest hits are other artists rejects. There’s no personal drive for artistry or an urge to create music. 

It’s sad for those of us who admired her music but at this point it’s clear beauty and fashion is what fulfills her most and that’s simply because she has much more input there than her own music.

Of course doing the Superbowl doesn't mean you have to release a new album but this is Rihanna we're talking about. She has taken an almost 7 year break and it's the perfect time to do it. What a waste of a platform if she doesn't.

 I mean I was mainly talking about her constant teasing and straight up lying to her fans for years now.. Also Shallow is also a soundtrack song and it’s superb do that’s not exactly an excuse but I do see what you mean.

i was always curious how Shallow came to be.  Like i wonder if it was a song from Joanne sessions that they held onto or if it was written for the movie specifically. either way points were made by you too!
