If current forecast trends hold both in economic growth and population trends... California is set to Surpass Germany's economy currently the world's 4th biggest economy in the coming years

Germanys faces shrinking population and workforce and anemic growth while California is expected to continue to grow at a more brusk pace by comparison.

Europe is still light years ahead of the US in terms of social security, healthcare, vacation days and so much more, regardless of the size of its economy,

Just saying that California being the bigger economy means little to nothing.

these forecasts sound so childish when you consider the incoming shortage of ressources, workforce, social security etc due to the climate emergency like if you really want to predict why do you not include these factors that are so in our face already. Yet it's only climatologists who are here to make such predictions

I mean, those are likely to hit Germany more than California if anything so the point I think still stands

Tho as far as climate change goes probably not

That’s such an exaggeration and honestly coping lol. The biggest economies have historically always had a bigger impact on global politics and culture. It’s why you’re currently using infrastructure invented in California for a website dedicated to an artist whose career was financed by a Californian company.
