Russians are retreating from Kherson (unconfirmed)

During the last week, there have been no major updates about the change in frontlines in Ukraine.

As it was the case for much of the last months, Russia and Ukraine clashed in Kherson and in the east (where the Ukrainians are still pushing toward Svatove and Kreminna). Here fighting was also taking place in the Siversk-Bakhmut sector and in the vicinity of Donetsk city. In Kherson it seems that the Russians began retreating to the eastern bank of Dnieper in the wake of a potential massive counter-offensive from Ukraine.

Yesterday the Deep State map (the most widely used and popular Ukraine) reports a slight advancement by the Russians near the settlement of Vodiane in Donetsk. At the same time, the Ukrainians made a slight advancement near Bakhmut.

• ISW estimates that Russia will loose western Kherson by the end of the year. There is a chance Russia might blow up the Nova Kakhovka dam on their way out of Kherson.
