Their new albums are most talked about albums about this year, creating lots of buzz before and after. And it also receives mostly positive feedback from critics and regular audience alike. One dominates the first half of this year, and the other dominates the final half. And this space are big enough for 2 Queens this year!

I came in here for you young ones to tell old grandpa here what names he should probably know in 2022. Who are the popular girlies now among the kids and what makes them special. Like who are the pop girls slaying the charts in 2022 that all the gen Zers literally die for and what are their names so I can memorise them and pretend I still know something about current pop culture.

And instead you just showed me two of the girlies who were topping the charts when I was in high school.

Insane that in 2022... 10, 15, or even 20 years later... it's still the same pop girls who are dominating the world. We've got Gaga, Beyonce, Taylor, Rihanna about to make a big splash, Katy still kickin' it even without a smash hit in a while, Ari has been huge for about a decade now. Does noone really do it like they did? Dua being the only real exception. Is Dua the only REAL pop star, chart topper, it-factor, world dominating, pop-girly to debut in the past ten years? Cause I really thought that it was just me falling out of touch as I get older

can't blame them, the younger stars mainly starting off tiktok these days and as such they usually come and went. The trends changes so fast. Feels like no time for them to record a (well thought out) album anymore cos they have to use those short momentum as much as they could. Only singles.
 

Honestly only Dua, Billie and Olivia who are promising enough to lead the curent gen. Before them there are Ariana & Halsey.

This is so true actually. Everything is made like fast food now. Quick, easy, disposable, onto the next thing. Fast food, fast fashion, fast music

Thankfully I do know Dua, Olivia, and actually love Billie and saw her live last month. Also Halsey and Ari are queens. Guess I'm not as old and behind as I thought   there are those few tiktok girls but I forget their names because I just don't care about what they're putting out

I remember 15 years ago my mom telling me it would be hard to get an other Madonna career since singers seemed to be way more numerous...

It seems even truer now. It comes and goes like crazy lol.
