I don't understand how she has THIS much appeal, no hate on her, I like her. But to have these huge numbers? What is it that makes her so successful? Just general wide appeal?

Good question.

You just came into this thread to hate? Just don’t read what doesn’t interest you

You all Forget Gaga did the same thing:

I literally never said she did not. Just an observation. It's a sad situation for the music industry that sales are mostly driven by cleverly finessing a small core audience of fans who primarily buy records and CDs out of loyalty/wanting their fave to "win."

That’s any entertainment industry for you.

Personally I collect Vinyl. Is my hobby. And is no small core audience.

,........compared with when albums sold millions? Yes, it is. Most people in the U.S. buy few, if any, physical albums anymore. That's why artists place so much emphasis on trying to squeeze as many sales out of their fan base as possible with a dozen different covers and special editions. They are trying to upsell collectors because they cannot galvanize a wider audience to buy records.

Sis Gaga did around 275 k at the height of police brutality protests in the US (literally, one of the biggest protest happened the day after her album dropped) and during hardcore COVID 19 restrictions when a bunch of stores were closed in the US. While I wish there was more of a roll out, those are very good numbers....Renaissance did around 330k in comparison. I really don't think there were that many bad choices during Chromatica, despite what fans said, and it was never the kind of album (Euro house) that was going to do 500k numbers in this day and age.

Taylor is just in a whole different bracket, sales wise, compared to everyone else....even Adele at this point.

This is true, but keep in mind, Chromatica benefited immensely from tour bundling. It would’ve probably sold the same amount without the bundle had those aforementioned events not taken place, so I still think it’s a stellar first week nonetheless.

I’m a simple guy to please, if you like Melodrama, we chill.

That was just an opinion. No hate. Mostly a joke. Please chill.

Besides, who cares about the damn clock ? is a relevant and interresting question, I think.

Late to the party but I got a diamond heart

It’s not the first reply you made in this thread. There are other replies that sounded hateful and bitter that’s why I quoted u.

I've been asking myself the same question. I truly don't get it. Clearly there's something I'm not seeing because I don't get her appeal either. But hey, good for her I guess. Let people enjoy whatever they want. Personally I would rather listen to something else, but that's just me.

Its so bizarre to me how people devour everything she releases :bear: I genuinely for the life of do not get the appeal and everyone in my life is on the same page, its hard to even believe how much of a devoted fanbase she has.

I literally just bought the records bc I honestly loved the colors and I love collecting vinyls (even variants that don’t add to the billboard mind you)
