FfFfFfFF 58,120
Despite the national ban on Internet acces in Iran, the protests have not stopped, in fact they seem even more intense than before. This video talks about how the protests are different to previous uprisings (they don't only involve a single economic grouping or demographic) and what consequences would a regime have internationally. If Iran collapses, Russia will loose a significant ally and the geopolitical map of the Middle East predicated on the Sunni-Shia rivality will likely to change (I would add to this that Azerbaijan will feel more emboldened to invade its neighbour Armenia). Finally they say the protests need one more thing to be succesful, which is - some support from parts of the Army.
Guest
Does Iran want to be more democratic? I feel the countries who are a bit more democratic can't be truly free when they are surrounded by countries like Pakistan etc
Ronk 14,930
I hope women gain freedom from the oppression they have endured for so long. I live outside the space time continuum.

Iran itself used to be more democratic than it is today, I think it can.
