This single was the first time I watched a piece of art and felt that spark of wanting to create something rebellious, something that made people clutch their pearls, inspire creativity and thought. It also made me question my relationship of what I knew of the Bible and what was shoved down my throat in a small town in a very conservative county. Gaga inspired me to be spiritual without following any kind of scripture. Watching it now, of course, it doesn't seem as scandalous... but I was nervous to watch this with my mom.
