ItWasntLaauv 6,392
If this is eventually going to be The Sims 5, I don’t like that they’re focusing on cross-platform, cooperative play. In my opinion, it’s a single player game at heart and I think this cross-platform, cooperative stuff is going to limit it. They should just make another online spin-off for people who want that kind of gameplay.
John Wayne 4,392
I don’t think it’ll be Sims 5, as the cross-compatibility will simply be impossible, even if it’s just building. If it is, the graphics would be tragic to say the least. When I first saw it tho, I thought it was a Paralives rip-off just because it looked so similar. It also would've been nice to receive a big update with the features that were added in the Castaway Stories spinoff, i.e. bigger hoods, bigger lots, improved water graphics, an extra skintone, the option of multiple save files for one hood, Need hotkeys, etc. Oh with that I agree! I thought you were saying it’s not as good of a game.

GoldenEmperor 50
Since the original creator departure The Sims have not beign the same. Is lacking in plots, cheesy comedy, dramas, gossips, rumors, and satirical humor thah original game have. You feel it like a real neighborhood. The graphics are better than ever now, but since Sims 4 dont have sandbox world i never understand the long loading pages, the 3D/clay simulation creator studio was amazing better that any past Sims videogame but the color circle/mixer and patterns for fashion and custumization were a mess. The story mode and easter eggs, personalities and all that including dlc and extra packs were boring. And I agree the game feel really empty. The only interesting project would be a remaster/remake of Sims Online.
Anderson123 35,593
It’d be amazing if they make something with The Sims 4 graphics, Sims aesthetic and build mode, Sims 3 packs content size and worlds, The Sims 1 and 2 quirky humor and gameplay. I remember spending all night playing the first two generations of Sims games and I’d never get bored of it.

TheOriginalOne 9,610
I saw a video earlier about how past generations had a spin off like Medieval and that this new Rene project might be another spin off. Interesting idea, I think!
tomsches 17,315
My favorite sims game is the sims 3. I remember playing it for hours every day for months. The problem with the sims and future generations is that in the sims 3 you were already able to do pretty much everything there is to do with the game. Like, I wonder how the sims 4 will be any different from the previous games because what other new things could there be that haven’t already been possible in previous games. I played the sims 4 and I don’t think it was terrible. I just got bored really quickly because, as I’ve said, I feel like I’d already played that game since I was a child. When the sims 2 came out I loved it because the sims were aging and stuff, in the sims 3 you could go visit the neighborhood and other sims were aging too. The sims 4 didn’t really have anything new. When the sims 2 came out I loved it because the sims were aging and stuff, in the sims 3 you could go visit the neighborhood and other sims were aging too. The sims 4 didn’t really have anything new. The problem is The Sims 4 literally took away things that were there in previous games. Some got added over the years but at first there were no pools, no basements, no toddlers. The closed world is also a massive step back. There are like 4 families in a neighbourhood compared to like 20 in The Sims 3, where they each all had extensive lore and quirks. A new Sims game isn't really supposed to add tons of new stuff. It's more or less always the same, and then extension packs complete it (which are also often the same from previous games). The point of a new game is mostly to modernize the game and graphics. It doesn't have to be full of groundbreaking new features, just to be a bunch of small upgrades in every field from the last one. If you think about it, Sims 4's only new features were the build and create a Sims mode + the moods. On paper it sounded like it was enough. It would have been if there weren't downgrades in everything else. But imo the biggest loss for the franchise is the quirkiness and details. The fun of the Sims 3 to me was getting to know the existing neighboors, messing with their story, exploring the other worlds (adventure/future/island packs). They were so detailed that I can still play it 13 years later and find new stuff.

alsemanche 91,816
They need to make a sims 2/sims 3 hybrid. Take the sims 2 gameplay and the sims 3 world/character creator and blend them together because the sims 2 had the most fun experience when it came to actuallt playing the game (stories/expansions/etc.) while sims 3 had the best character and lot customization options (the color selections and whatnot) so I think mixing the two would create their best game to date. I was hoping the sims 4 would be that but we all saw how that turned out Soft, soothing, and succulent
