I applied but Im not likely to get it cancelled because of course my loans were sold to MOHELA. Love that for me. 🙄

Wait what does that mean? I think mine were also sold to MOHELA, but aren't they technically still considered federal loans?

I think this was part of the criticism. If your debt was sold you may not be eligible under this exact plan to receive relief.

Hopefully the Dems keep their trifecta and can work towards a solution for people in your scenario.

Since they are held by a private company, doesn't matter. Wont be cancelled as of this moment.

Biden as usual caved at the last minute and screwed over people who had no say as to whether their loans were sold to private companies. 😉

Eh, it's kinda up in the air actually. Plenty of people understand inflation is a global issue and that the US is doing much better than a lot of countries right now.

Meanwhile, Republicans' culture wars have turned off a lot of people.

So I guess we'll see.

As opposed to...nobody getting any relief at all? :laughga:

People whose debt is owned by private companies will need a different solution, it's really that simple. No reason everyone else has to keep their debt looming over them too.
