Well partial honesty since he makes it about friendship as well when she's trending again. The only moments he's 100% real is when she's in a down career moment and he's frank about seing her as just an investment.

The decision was about business and stopping investing money. Not dropping her as she was still in contract with Interscope or dropping her management has he was only an investor (and co songwriter / producer in early days)

I'm sure she also parted way with some people for money purpose without having any kind of bad feelings.

It's actually very rare for any artist to stick with same people for business for decades and decades. I'm sure Gaga will have other team changes / new collaborators in business in the future.

I doubt she doesn't have resentment over these people.

Otherwise Gaga will not ever complain about anyone is trying to cash her out. When she realizes during her healing process from hip surgery that nobody was checking up on her. They were using her for money. 
 

Or how she complain about selling perfume during the ARTPOP era which most likely why she fired Troy in the first place.

Honestly, if you invested in someone’s business and then saw them losing, it could be potential risk, your going to cash out as well. I don’t think a single person whether they are business minded or not would stay with a business partner who is a liability. 

People are saying he’s throwing shade but he’s being dead honest about what happened without sugar coating anything. I think some of you are being very dramatic but what’s new on GGD?

That being said, I think her breakup up with her manager Troy screwed her the most - not Akon...

Kinda get the impression he's just saying the first thing that comes into his head. It was a long time ago, but he's not even thinking about his answers. Maybe he's looking on TF and TFM as one album, which is why he's saying that BR was on the first album and why he says she never got to four albums (he stopped counting after ARTPOP).

Not him pretending he and redone "led her in the direction that could blow her" when Gaga wrote 100+ songs for The Fame and came with a vision no mainstream label would push her towards in 2007-8. No one takes credit for her hard work - Akon invested and he made a profit, but he cannot claim credit.

To be honest RedOne fought hard for her in 2008 for her to get some radio plays when no one wanted to play her songs. And he had like zero money invested in her, just the songs they made together

This right here is the reality of the music business. It's an industry with assets and investors.

Just like an investor would hold stocks and shares in a company, music executives hold them in artists. 

And just like an investor will sell their stocks and shares in a company when that company is at its perceived peak... so will a music executive. 

It's kind of fascinating really but also a hard game to be in for artists. Because artists aren't inherently entrepreneurs or CEOs... they are emotional creatives. So it's clear why there's so much conflict in this business between artists and their 'bosses'. They're on very different pages but each need each other for different reasons.

When you think of the industry with this lens, it's clear why the likes of Taylor Swift go to great lengths to reclaim control of their careers and to make as much money as possible... because it frees them from this system. They suddenly become their own system and make money for themselves on their own terms. It makes sense. And you could say that's what Gaga is doing with Haus Labs too, only with a make-up brand instead of music.

He got it out "before the dip" lol. He says it like it's a good thing. If he was a smart businessman, he would ride the ups and down. If he stayed, he'd be making even more money now. Good thing Gaga doesn't have to pay him now, because she's making more money now than she was back then. There are so many stocks I sold that I wish I kept and ignored the short term turbulence..I'd be rich today

Right? He was there when her shows grossed 1,5 million a show and he's gone now she makes 2,5× that. He's bragging for gaining a lot back then but he also lost big time.

Um that’s literally what I’m saying. The way he nonchalantly said “I cashed out before it was too late” was beyond disrespectful. Making it seem like she was gonna become a hasbeen but now he’s praisinh her acting like he didn’t basically call her a flop in 2014 so what now
