The Weeknd’s greatest hits album is gonna literally be top 10 forever… Billboard is so silly when they make their rules…

it left top 10 several times and this is not the only one the greatest hits album on the chart. his songs are still very popular so this is why it's so high.

How is Charlie not gonna crack top 10 with all the thirst traps he's been posting on social media to promote his music. :air:

It's a really good album, although most of the songs are very short. It feels like every song could use an additional 60 seconds

Me too!

Good for Charlie, I don't think top 10 was really in the cards. Did he release vinyls?

You see my comment wasn't against The Weeknd, I love him. Yeah, his songs are very popular, that's the exact reason it's not gonna fall that much. This record contains all his biggest hits and the rules say that the album with the biggest activity gets all the streams. This means all his legendary records will not be able to chart pretty much ever again, and this is BS in my opinion. People listen to his music through his albums (or playlists) and I really don't think most people from the GP even knows this greatest hits album exists. So what I was trying to say is, that I'm happy for his success, but I would much rather see his iconic albums getting longevity, rather than an irrelevant greatest hits record charting high forever, cannibalizing his other records.

Some years ago it was fun to look at Billboard 200 all-time records like albums with the most weeks in the top 200, but now its completely irrelevant, as greatest hits from popular artist will pretty much chart forever. I really don't think people will stop listening to Abel's biggest smashes anytime soon, maybe EVER, so this greatest hits album is gonna clock up the charts. I can't even count how many greatest hits albums are charting right now thanks to this silly rule, and it just makes new albums by upcoming artist chart low or not chart at all. Even older but iconic artists have a hard time charting like Xtina with her latest records Aguilera. Maybe without all those Greatest Hits records it would have been somewhere between 150-200, which could have been a cute little chart performance for her. Dawn of Chromatica should have also charted with the vinyl release (I remember it sold a cute couple thousand of copies) but fighting against the biggest hits of artists like Bob Marley, Bon Jovi, Whitney is literally too much.

good for his standards :applause:

His first two albums peaked at #6 and #4 in the US. This is quite a drop unless it continues to climb. Kind of surprising considering he seems to be more popular than ever and the music isn't bad at all.
