I don't think it was. It'd have clashed with either Folklore or Evermore.

So she's going against 30, Silk Sonic, Renaissance and maybe Kendrick (Again).

I understand why she' re-recording but what is the point of submitting a re-recorded album from 2012? Then everyone should re-record their albums and submit every year

I guess anyone could re-record their albums and submit every year but I bet very few artists want to spend the time or money to re-record old albums unless they have a similar masters beef and even so, if their album wasn’t nominated or a winner for AOTY before most people would not have the chutzpah or confidence to decide to try again with the same album. I think Taylor has seen that she made Red relevant again and a huge hit again so she is thinking she has a decent shot.
