As an Arab, and I think I speak for a of Arab Gheys when I say we fully consider her Palestinian and are proud of her. But let's not pretend she doesn't have a certain privilege that a LOT of Arabs (especially brown-skinned) don't necessarily have.

My first year in America as an international student  I found out "sand [N-word]" was a real insult. I highly highly doubt Gigi Hadid was or would be called that if she were strolling the streets of Philly (i.e. what happened to me).

It still doesn't make her white though, just because she is passing. Just like you have northern people who sometimes look asian, it doesn't mean they are asian.

I understand the passing sentiment but America needs to start defining what white actually means to them and stick to that.

That's because America can't stick with their definition of white. Just because they are white passing doesn't mean that they are white just like some people look asian but they are not, although they are passing.
