What would you consider warranting the label “far right?”

Politics who seek to destroy a certain democratic standard and Are inclined to make ona partisan system with media and civil opression.

Meloni is nothing of that. Yes, She Said She is personally against gay adoptions but will not reverse a legislature. She is not against EU and cooperation but will take a different aproach than Draghi and other more left governments. Just Because She declare as conservative and takes different aproach than liberal politician doesn’t make her far right and people did not vote for her Because of her “facist” views but rather Because after 73 governments in 77 Years they Are tired of constant political drama and She is “Fresh”. That is also very important to note and She is very Well aware of this.

It is enough to say that She Said in relation to EU that it is relationship of mutual respect and cooperation.

That is not a language a far right is using ( Le Pen, Orban, Putin , )

This woman is against human rights; Gay rights, women's rights, free will in everything and she's the biggest fascist in my country. Poor Italy, poor us.

Let's be real, more and more younger people are leaning towards this, and that's why the far right is gaining so much power. Old people are dying and yet votes for the far right are higher than ever. During the French elections I saw a lot of people talking who wouldn't have voted that in the past and who are beginning to find this an acceptable alternative.

100%.

For example, 40.6% of those between 18-24 voted for Le Pen in the most recent French elections.

There is some truth in boomers voting for right wing parties, but it’s like a never ending cycle as your views change the older you get. They may not be wise, but they do change.

In my messy era.

Okay. If She did say those things just to get elected than She is very Well aware that people who voted for her Are not all far right and If She tries to push those policies She will be out of office very soon. And that is not very uncommon in Italy.

Shouldn't we support women? Right or left it's the same for me, I celebrate the fact that Italy never had a female premier, and she may become the first one

We should support people. Are you from italy? because she is a woman but she is not a feminist. She'a a fascist, a racist, a homophobic, she wants to ban abortion, she has already stated that we gay won't have marriage, she voted against the law who protected LGBTQ people. And the list is long.

HOW THE HELL are you supporting THAT THING while being on a Lady Gaga forum?

I want to point out that these are all lies. Fresh? She's been in politic for 20 years, in 2011 HER GOVERNMENT sent italy to bankruptcy. She's not only against gay adoptions, but against gay marriage too. She's said she'd rather not have a gay son. She literally supported Le Pen, Orban and Putin, what are you even talking about?

I think all these publications are wrong too?

Can I ask you if you're italian? Because you're saying a bunch of lies in this thread. People who voted for her ARE far right, at least 80% of them.

:what: when human rights are at stake? NO! do you know what far right means? do you care about equality? you would rather progress be reversed just because a leader is a woman? what if she starts banning abortion? would stripping the rights for millions of women be worth it just because you "supported" one woman in particular?! will you be supporting the women affected by her misogyny or will you be rallying behind her just because "sHe'S a WoMan"?!

Not when she's against women rights. :deadbanana:

It literally doesn't matter that she's a woman if she's more misogynyst than the average male.

Thank you!

To add something else of what I said, she even pushed the propagand that the covid was fake and the vaccines were wrong. She literally rode on everything the people wanted to hear.

That user had an avi of Giorgia Meloni weeks ago tho. The self hate is too much.

I mean, the people has spoken, we must accept the results : it's the definition of democracy. Italians suffered from so many difficulties during the last 30 decades, they have tried every parties with no positive results on their lives (economy, unemployement, debt, immigration, insecurity...), so now they have chosen Giorgia Meloni's party. It's an ultra-conservative party, but it's the party that the majority of Italians have chosen. So, I mean, I really hope Italians will not regret their choice
