The first time I ever heard it was in a video remembering the deaths of p*rn stars as the song touches on a lot of issues that lead to a lot of early deaths in that industry. And it could also be a song about depression as well. It even reminds me of people who are disillusioned by the glitz and glamour of LA and just want out. It's a song for anyone who feels at a loss. I know the opening line of "I don't wanna die, out here in the valley, waiting for my luck to change" reminded me of a time when I was so ill I feared I was dying. Day 21: This is an artist that I'd never listened to before and this was my introduction to her. It's such a calming, serene, beautiful song and she apparently fought against her record label to keep the instrumentation simple. It's a great song to hear if you want some reassurance.
