Well I’ve decided to review Pitchfork and I’ve given them a 1.6.

Been a cuff touple, a puff bupple, a tough couple of years.

Sad to say that they did not lie

I definitely prefer her debut or self titled to this, I just feel like it was a step down from the direction she was heading w debut:interestinga: SAWAYAMA literally sounded like the future of music :tony:

I did not get the chance to listen to it yet however, so many people seem to be somewhat let down by the project. I see people don’t seem to hate it or think it’s bad, just that they expected more? I really liked the singles, This Hell was great and I loveddd Catch Me In The Air and Hold The Girl. Yes, they feel less experimental and forward thinking but I am still satisfied, idk.

I enjoyed it way more than self titled so whatever Pitchfork says, this album is a big win for me personally

I love this album. I think this reviewer wanted a rehash of the first album. Criticisms like, it sounds like she just mashed up these  genres “ because she could” , in italics no less, are empty. Why else would she. She could and she did and she found artistic merit in doing so. I hate when reviewers imply that every artistic choice needs to be justified to their personal satisfaction.
