im saying she needs treatment and ignoring her mental illness will cause more issues down the line

Are you Britney's doctor? no. Do you have access to Britney's medical records? no - refrain from arm chair diagnosing.

I don't agree with her post or quote at all and i'm deeply disappointed by it but I will not have people constantly hold that 'mentally ill' stigma against her at any opportunity they get. Yes, she is traumatised but some of you are taking it too far.

I get she's probably upset at the entire industry and honestly the world and is trying to find her place and speak her mind at the same time but I think she needs to work out those issues offline.

I mean this with love- I've been a fan since Baby One More Time- but she's never sounded like the most intelligent talker, even before the c-ship. I'm glad she has freedom to speak if she chooses, but every sentence she says is surely not going to be a winner.

I hope she can find a balance between the things she says publicly, and the things she says to others in private. We all say dumb shtt sometimes, and it's unfortunate that she's doing it under such a magnifying glass right now. (This doesn't excuse what I think she was implying though. Folks need to not comment and compare the sizes of others bodies, we should all know this)

I'm just glad Christina keeps it classy for the most part and isn't interested in social media tit for tat. The best thing for her to do was unfollow.

Where is the fat shaming?

she commented the other day how she was always the biggest of all her dancers and it affected her body image

i guess she thinks xTina had dancers with different body types

sheesh

THIS

I’m disgusted by some of you guys trying to twist her words into fat shaming when she’s literally talking about struggling with body image herself. Jesus. The title is misleading and I don’t know how this thread is still here spreading misinformation and inciting hate towards Britney

Also it’s not cute to assume she’s mentally ill judging by the things she posts. This is a medical diagnosis and it’s not up for us to discuss it here

Of course the majority response here and everywhere else is to look past this. How long does Britney get a pass to say whatever she wants? 3-6 more months? 10 years? When will this behavior officially become old and need to be confronted? I understand that she's had a hard life, but lots of you are now just using that as a convenient excuse to invalidate any criticism she elicits. Believe it or not, there's well adjusted people who've been through far worse that don't constantly go on these incomprehensible rants.

Saying people are “bigger” or “smaller” is NOT fat shaming. Are we no longer allowed to say that someone is big/small?! For example, Lizzo is a “big” girl but so what? I’m not saying that in a mean or negative way, it’s just true. And there’s nothing wrong with being big/small. I swear people just love to jump on these kinds of things to create drama.

This kind of vitriol towards Britney after making an inappropriate instagram post is both totally predictable and also really scary.

Like if you're seriously this worked up after seeing her IG post I think you need to reflect on your own level of adjustment in life because there are 100% bigger fish to fry than a woman who has been silenced and trafficked in the entertainment industry for over a decade saying something rude online.

This kind of policing of her thoughts and behaviour is exactly what led to her conservatorship. I see worse opinions than what she's shared on GGD multiple times a day.

Gosh, I hate the patronizing posts here :saladga:

"She's not ok", "she is unstable", "she needs help"... You have no idea why she said that or if it was just a missunderstanding, but people love to talk about others' mind state. I would love if people used the same energy to check on their own mind state :enigma:

Don't get me wrong, I love me so Britney but like WTF? I don't understand what point she's trying to make with this as Xtina just had dancers who were a similar size to her.

Also, I don't get what her problem with Xtina is, sure she said some hurtful things about Britney in the past but she has showed support for her these past 2 years and onwards.

That being said, some times when you misdirect anger at someone so you don't know whats happening behind the scenes.

Vitriol? Maybe you don't know what that word means, and "scary" is a an overreaction, but nevertheless...

It's not that I'm worked up over what she said, but more so annoyed by the constant excuses people use to justify anything she says. People who've been through terrible situations can still be A-holes. How long will Britney's tumultuous past stop people from just acknowledging she's not always right?

It's so exhausting at this point. Half of you Britney Warriors act like she's a grown, competent free woman who should say and do whatever she wants, while the other half acts like she's a mental patient with no understanding of the implications of her words/behavior who's in need of your constant shielding.
