Gaga's one of the most technically trained pop stars selling out stadiums these days. She knows how to avoid damaging her voice. Remember her on Howard Stern when she sang Black Dog? And Stern said "that'll tear your voice up too!" and she said something like "not if you know what you're doing " I'm just like 🧍‍♂️

If I were him I'd get them all some sort of stipend for his online store or something to do in the city for the night so it's not completely wasted.

RudraCNG 14,388
Feels bad for the crowd but also for Abel since he seems genuinely sorry (not every artist would address the crowd).

Blackout19 10,781
Back in time, when Britney was performing this things didn't happen to much.. It takes a smart brunette to play a dumb blonde.
ModernEcstasy 8,573
Not really followed Abel much. I just get the impression that he has a big ego. Is he a nice guy? He seems genuinely upset. Hope he’s okay

Unlike a lot of male singers (cough cough Ed Sheeran), his songs about his personal life/romances generally don't blame his exes and instead he often blames himself. I feel like it's way more common to sing live now (so many of the big acts back in the day did some sort of combination of lip synching and live singing), and when singers sing 100% live...these things happen. I feel bad for the people who traveled and spent money on hotel rooms...one of the reasons I've always been wary of traveling for concerts/shows tbh. pussycat 3,514
Honestly okay these artist just use the 'i can't give you what i want to give and what you deserve i'm gonna come back' speech to feel better about themselves cancelling so damn last minute. All the time. For a lot of people the cancellation is all they'll get. There is no coming back a second time. Sometimes as an artist you have to do what you have promised to do, even if it means bad press for you. The Weekend is a true artist, a professional with a big team. He could've explained the situation, done the show super lowkey and give that refund anyway. Maybe i'm just eyerolling too hard but come on

I get the scale is very different, but the concept is the same. And imagine if he had pushed through the set, it could have ended up hurting him even more and gotten more dates cancelled. I'd truly be devastated if I was in the fans' shoes and spent a lot of my own money, but I'd also understand.
Addison Rae 15,379
yea i feel for the fans but also it’s better for him to cancel the show early than risk damaging his voice further. hopefully they get a refund or a rescheduled date sitting on his lap sipping diet pepsi
Sneaky Oliver 21,540
I’m torn if I would rather have him lip syncing the rest of the show than going back home after just watching a few songs being performed
Gagaism 10,213
Only fans (like real ones) will ever understand what’s going on with people they stan. I’ve seen a comment above questioning about his ego and I think it’s clear that he doesn’t have a big ego. I think he’s one of the most down to earth of the male artists right now actually. He’s got a good attitude always and he seems to have a good heart.  I feel really bad he has been through all this now and I hope he can recover very soon.  This tour is amazing and I really hope he can finish it the way he had planned to.
