So since Gaga has said that she originally wanted to title LG6 as ‘Free Woman’ but then eventually went with Chromatica, which of these concepts would you have preferred? Personally I think Chromatica fits perfectly. Also I couldn’t comprehend how if she went with “Free Woman” how the accompanying tour would be like “The Free Woman Ball”…it just doesn’t sound right to me idk. Chromatica is perfect to me tbh

Ever since FW came out I find the idea so funny that gays all around the world are screaming „I’M A FREE WOMAAAN“ for the rest of eternity.
But yeah, I believe Gaga is a pretty smart woman, so if she decides to go with Chromatica instead of FW its probably the right move :lana:

If we were gonna have it be named after an album track Babylon would be the the only acceptable alternative. [I'd also accept Sine From Above POTENTIALLY]

Free Woman as a title is as basic as the album version's production.

Chromatica >>>>>>>>

Too many people here with moral superiority complex.

The tour could've been called The Free World Tour or sum

Still, Chromatica >>

Then the GP would have been disappointed that concert tickets cost money 😂

Chromatica sounds more mysterious and iconic to me. Enigma would have been a good alternative title, but of course the Vegas show was already called that.

Chromatica is perfect and free woman would have been corny imo, since from above would fit the cover and the message of album tho

also did she explain what chromatica meant?

The Sine Ball...Ball From Above...here for it tbh.

Replay, Enigma, Sine, or Babylon would all be neat titles but I like Chromatica the best

I love how unique and conceptual 'Chromatica' is: this idea of a  healing space in Gaga's mind that she was only able to reach by battling her demons. That said, until the tour, I don't think the concept was very well-explored or communicated. She kind of positioned it as a planet - visually at least - before telling us it wasn't one and shouldn't be seen as one. I don't think even she really understood how to creatively represent 'Chromatica' until the ball.

From that angle, I'd say 'Free Woman' would've probably been more reflective of what the album is actually about. I mean, the music tells the story of  Gaga being trapped by fame and then finding her freedom, which is the exact same narrative of the ball. So I think it would've worked... although it does sound a bit basic.

I think 'ALICE' would've been an even better title. It would've been very easy to communicate, too: "ALICE is about me looking for my happy place after falling down a very dark hole where everything in my became so twisted and confused". It's conceptual but definitely represents what the album is about. She 'embodied' Alice in this album, searching for a 'wonderland' that healed her. The album cover would've worked with this title too. She could've explored the wonderland theme in an 'Alice' music video, which should've been the lead single.

The tour could've been called 'The Wonderland Ball', which 'Alice' (... Gaga) was able to reach after battling her demons head-on. And the visuals could've stayed the same but maybe with some more hyperrealist and fantasy elements. She could've been in 'Wonderland' for 'Rain On Me' for example, where strange plants grew around her as it rained.
