I do not condone any of the terrible stuff mentioned, but that is quite literally the culture of every middle eastern country because they simply don’t separate state from religion. I live in the region and I know first hand what it’s like. It’s not great, but it’s not as terrible as they’re making it seem. There is nothing he or anyone else can do about it unfortunately. FIFA selected Qatar, he’s a celebrity footballer and he was offered £150m, OF COURSE he will take it. Did you expect the World Cup to happen with no endorsements? Why not go after big companies instead of an individual? It is also funny to me that none of these publications would say anything about a celebrity visiting, performing or promoting Israel.
