Well, people were already making threads about the song underperforming the very first couple of days it came out. Shallow didn't really become a huge hit until much later, even peaked after the Oscars. But look at it now, it has made quite an impact. I'm not saying Hold My Hand will repeat this but fans are so extra with charts and numbers. And does it even matter anymore if it reaches a top spot? Look at what's the #1 song right now.
