Flop or not, her defending a man that multiple women have called a creep and choosing to still work with him is not it.

I know, but I think as long as you're an unknown act, whenever the public becomes aware of your song, that becomes like your debut week, though. In any sense, it's not that I'm against fan-powered #1's on principle, but rather the ones that came about through cheating the system and being too fan-dominated. Trollz being Nicki's last #1 at the time took the record for the biggest second week drop for a #1 single and it spent just 4 weeks in the chart. It's that kind of fan-powered #1 that I'm criticising. Sure, a good strategy to make your fave's song into a hit with staying power is to give it that honour of debuting at the top, that means attention will be drawn to it and others may buy it. But as we saw for the case of Nicki's last big debuts (Trollz at #1 and Do We Have A Problem? at #2) if there's no public interest, the song will just tumble downwards, making the #1 completely pointless and it will have no nostalgic recognition when people look back on your list of hits in years to come.
