Thank you.

What's with the Harry hate-train? He is a fierce ally, the world would probably be a lot better if more men were as open and outspoken as he is. The fact y'all get this reaction because he won't confirm whether he sucks **** or not is laughable - it's not like you're going to bed him anyway, so chill.

We were just talking about albums or who has more impact and whether he deserves to get called KING OF POP.Nobody is bringing up about his sexuality .In fact you are the first one to bring up his sexuality in  this thread .So chill.

Do we really need to freak out because of 3 words on a magazine cover? :laughga:

we all know Michael Jackson is the „true King of Pop“ and I don’t see anyone coming next to his level. Harry is a good artist tho. Case closed. :icega:

Y'all, I don't like his music (nor him) but even the King of a country isn't King forever. Once he or she dies, a succesor becomes the new King, so Michael Jackson cannot be the King forever even if he indeed was once the King. But anyway, those labels are meaningless nowadays.

He's getting dragged left and right in several threads in here, don't act like you don't know what this is ultimately about. My reaction was to the overall hate-train, not specifically about this thread, which is just another excuse to needlessly drag him. He is the biggest male pop star on the planet right now, whether y'all like it or not.

Nothing more than a cute boy with radio friendly songs.

Three albums, a couple of hits, zero influence on musical trends, no strong performances, a typical product of the time. And Timberlake had a couple of successful eras after leaving the boy band. Where is he now?

He’s getting backlash all over the web in fairness.  He’s disowned every woman he’s publicly dated, he’s throwing out his opinions on gay sex scenes on screen (he won’t label his sexuality though so not sure why his opinion is needed) whilst completely disregarding the great gay love stories we’ve had recently and to top it off he’s being called the “king of pop” all in one magazine.

Bad day for him :rip:

Love, love, love Harry.

But...no :huntyga:

MJ earned and will forever keep that title by defining what it means to be a modern pop star. Nobody can or will ever succeed at taking it from him.

As soon as I saw the title my first thought was "Oh boy, PartySick is not going to like this" :ladyhaha:

Totally agree though. There is only one King of Pop, and that's MJ. Period.

I'm only mildly annoyed at the idea that these titles (king, queen, godfather, etc) can be taken purely by success alone

MJ broke racial barriers, he revolutionized music videos, he revolutionized dance, his influence saturates the work of just about every pop star alive today. From The Weeknd to Harry to Lil Nas and especially to Gaga :flutter: she's literally doing MJ dance moves at TCB

It's been theorized the only person who was more widely than MJ was Jesus Christ :air:

Record sales aside, nobody will ever be that revolutionary or culturally iconic again, I'm afraid. At least, not in our lifetimes.

I promise I'm not actually upset at this or anything :ladyhaha: but any chance I can take to sing the praise of my fave is a chance I'll take :vegas:

Why shouldn't he comment on performing gay sex scenes? He just did such scenes :triggered: He's an actor, his actual sexuality is irrelevant to the conversation, tho he made it abundantly clear that he's on the LGBTQ spectrum, so I'm not sure what more y'all want from him.

Because not only is this a community he repeatedly distances himself from when it suits him but also what he stated was factually incorrect.  We’re lucky to get any representation on the screen, so to dismiss recent efforts to not be “tender” enough is just stupid.

What I want from him is to stop coming out with cis, hetero washed ideas of what gay men should be when he himself doesn’t claim to be one.
