Tyler1992 2,264
Going from C2C to Joanne to a star is born to piano ballads would have been agonizing! Balladga, jazzga, countryga is awesome. But we need balance!

Sounds like he’s doing what a friend should do and helped her get through a rough patch. Or writing the songs made her feel worst? There is a big difference. Writing lyrics is way more demanding than composing sometimes. She could have made this album with only ballads at the end of the day it might have been the lyrics and not the style that made here feel worse
skedaddleBItCh 2,809
Strange take from a bloodpop hater. Try to comprehend. She wanted to make 1000 doves a piano ballad, not the whole Chromatica album. She said that Bloodpop, her friend by the way and that's coming from her, did wanted to make 1000 doves a dance record, but forced? Not really. It's more of like he convinced her to make it a dance record, and they still technically did release the piano ballad of 1000 doves through the deluxe version, so you go buy that **** and stop complaining. "Sometimes if you need somebody in your life, you just need a little nudge that's all." Here's the Boston video you're talking about. Hopefully you cab refresh your memory about it and hopefully enable you to think this time around. Anderson123 38,415
Well I'm glad things work out the way it did. Chromatica is my favorite album since Born This Way and I'm sure Bloodpop has been the greatest friend to Gaga and helped her get together, write music, just have fun. A lot of fans misunderstand when she says she was "forced" to make a dance album but when someone cares about you, they "force" you to pull yourself together and he was there for her. As much as I've enjoyed Cheek To Cheek, Joanne, A Star Is Born and all of the incredible performances she has done in this time, I NEEDED a dance Gaga album after that. Yes, Joanne is still pop but come on we all know what that means. I still want them to make another album together. Bloodpop really knows his background and knew who to bring into the party. Hope we get more of Rami Yacoub, BURNS, etc. He just nailed it.

Cameltoe Chariot 15,227
The way so many users on this cult site are OBSESSED with convincing everyone that Gaga hates making music, was forced to make Chromatica, and that she had zero involvement with it and would rather release ARTPOP Act II, Americano (Mariachi Version) and the shelved original LG6 Prostate In Public
LG666 1,931
She was in a dark place when she wrote the songs, so it makes sense. Sometimes you need friends to push you outside your comfort zone and do/make something different. I think that was the case here, and we are grateful for this dance record! How many Levitating moments would we be suffering with today lmao Could you imagine what her career would've looked like if Cake, Jewels N Drugs, Ratchet, Red Flame, Partynauseous, etc were the ARTPOP that we got?? Girl she would've been cancelled BIG TIME by now for cultural appropriation and such. excuse me no

And I can't imagine 911, Sour Candy, Babylon, Replay and Alice as piano ballads I doubt those song started off as ballads lol. Sour Candy isn’t a complete original either. She started in 2016-17 on the piano with: - 1000 Doves - Fun Tonight - Love Me Right - Stupid Love

I’m like wait a minute I was there last night that‘s not what she said. She wanted 1000 Doves to remain true to a piano ballad but Bloodpop wanted it to be a dance record…and she giggled while talking about that latter piece.
