Sorry if the answer is obvious, but how do we know this is the single cover and not the album cover?

the discription of the album cover from the guardian article doesn't match up with the pic

I guess it doesn't really matter

I know Bjork rarely repeats things, but I think that Fossora will be a mix between Biophillia and Medulla.

Is Atapos actually out today? I see a million fan YouTube videos but there are no vocals. Has Bjork herself released it yet on any official channels?

Based on The Guardian article, it seems it might sound like a mix of Biophillia and Debut. It was described as earthy, but then they also mentioned there was going to be some club-esque dance beats.

Regardless, I'm excited as this is my first time experiencing a Björk era as a fan :flutter:

Apparently it was scheduled for release on the 24th but got delayed and there still isn't a new date :/ Björk said it's coming soon so we just have to wait

I love that the album sounds very quaint. Like she coalesced everyone around her and processed. It’s interesting and nice imo she’s never really written about legit death and dying before like this so I’m very intrigued especially as she had a unique relationship with her mother

How was her relationship with her mother? This got me intrigued and curious

Not quite strained but kind of? Basically her mother was a BIG hippie, commune type person and Björk is basically the opposite. She’s eccentric, sure, but her sensibility is more punk than it is flower child. So it’s not exactly estranged or anything like that, but definitely a little naturally at-odds, you know? I think you’ll naturally kinda have some tension as you move through life when you’re so different. But from the guardian interview, it sounds like she empathized a lot with her through her frustrations in her final years—especially as her mom was really sad and upset to be relying on hospital care in her final months (she was more homeopathic). If Quicksand is anything to go by, I think we’re in for some really stunningly complex relationship grieving tbh especially as now bjork is a mother and was empty nesting at the time.
