Best year for Pop music?

I was going to put this as a poll, but there would be too many choices.

I would go for 2010 because we had TFM Gaga, Rihanna, Kesha and Katy all releasing music and dominating the charts. I've never loved pop music the same as I did since 2010.

2009 & 2012 would be a close second and third.

What do you think? :staymad:

In more recent years I think 2020 stands out with Chromatica, Future Nostalgia, Positions and Plastic Hearts.

Edit: if it weren't for the pandemic, we would have had Dancing with the Devil the Art of starting over also in 2020

Not sure if it's the best, but 2000 had:

Britney - Oops I Did It Again
Kylie - Spinning Around
Destiny's Child - Say My Name + Independent Women Part I
Madonna - Music
Christina - What A Girl Wants
'N Sync - Bye Bye Bye
Celine Dion - That's The Way It Is
J. Lo - Waiting For Tonight

Actually I'm pretty sure it's the best :haroon:

(Going off the Billboard Year-End Hot 100)

It's very subjective but personally i'd agree with you, around the 2010s and a few years after that were special for me :bradley:

I really do miss it sometimes

I'm so nostalgic because those years were when I was mid-teens and really becoming the person I am today :selena:

Late 90s, like 1998 or 1999.

Britney, Christina, Cher, Backstreet Boys, NSYNC

Agree with 2010

2015 was surprisingly good too

Emotion, Rebel Heart, 25, How Big How Blue How Beautiful, Delirium, FROOT, Honeymoon, Revival, Cry Baby, Badlands, Confident, Beauty Behind The Madness

Edit: Honestly now that I’m looking, there are great pop albums each year. Very few years since 2010 have been lackluster

And Beyoncé, Ari’s Yours Truly, Miley’s Bangerz, Daft Punk’s final album, Austra’s Olympia, Justin Timberlake 20/20…
