Ok so i was really looking forward to seeing the Chromatica tribes come to life on tour, but the show is fantastic anyways. But I realized that Gaga herself never verbally mentioned their existence. And the only time there was any sort of talk about the concept was when Richy explained them during Gagavision 47 for Stupid Love. Does anyone think that the tribes may have been his idea and she trashed it due to all of the drama or even maybe as a punishment? I have nothing against her and I don’t mean to start anything negative, but this just crossed my mind and I had to come on here to ask anyones opinion

It could've been something he was trying to push into the album and she was on board with it at the time because even she had mentioned the rivalry between the blue and red tribes once upon a time on Twitter. I just think after sifting through ideas that she decided to scrap the Chromatica world lore altogether and make the tour something more personal to reflect her emotions on the album.

I can also imagine she had specific dancers in mind to be leaders of said tribes, but since they left her entourage maybe she felt discouraged and that also influenced a change of mood for TCB.

Either way, I don't think it was due to any animosity she has with Richy. Two years had just passed and, as an artist, her ideas for the tour changed completely. Especially if it was stewing for so long!

It's a bummer, though. I was so fascinated by Chromatica's story, I really wanted to see it blossom!

I honestly think that the "tribes" concept was made by her graphics / creative team during the Stupid Love MV, then her creative team expanded this concept in the booklets and merch.

I'm guessing she wanted pink as the main color of the album (might be a reach but maybe because the color of the brain is pink ) + I didn't really see any tribe references in the album photoshoot apart from the final album cover + heart symbol on her forehead.

We don't even know what the name of the Lavender tribe is.

That kind of confuses me because isn’t her “creative team” the house of Gaga? Or does she have less control now?

And does anyone also feel the disconnect between Gaga and the audience at recent shows? What really hit me was when she’s been saying stuff like “do u know this record” or “do u have my album Chromatica”? OF COURSE WE DO!!! It’s the “Chromatica” ball! Has she forgotten how much we love her and her music? And I think she’s given up on ARTPOP. Just because the GP didn’t like it doesn’t mean the little monsters didn’t. I honestly think it’s her best work and so do many other hardcore fans like myself.

you know.. ever since ASIB there are not just little monsters coming to her shows anymore. There are a lot of GP people too We're not the only ones... it's like there are 2 types of people comin to her shows now and Gaga knows this.

I think the tribes were always just a cute aesthetic they came up with at the start, and once they showed it off in Stupid Love they were done with it and moved on   the fans made it out to be a bigger thing than it probably ever was

I never connected with that theme tbh. I don't think even gaga did. I think it was meant to be only on stupid love and i have no idea why was it on the album booklet

Oh sorry I mean the ones encharge of her graphic design. I'm sure the Haus of Gaga still has some say about it, I just feel like it's a concept for one video, extended it to the merch, and then moved on.

she was labelled as "weird" by the many of the GP before and most of them didn't know she actually had real talents and could sing well - until ASIB

Hmmm, I don't see Gaga doing something like thus for punishment. Like, she takes art so seriously that I doubt she would punish someone by discarding their art.
