It was definitely not Shannel's place to open the purse and take money, but the woman's exaggerated claims about what was taken from her after the fact is not a good look.

Shannel claimed in her response video that management reached out to the woman to go above and beyond to compensate her, and she didn't accept, so it's like ??? What more does she want?

She didn't take $700, her tips were counted after the show and the total didn't come out to nearly that much. She did go into the lady's purse though and apologized, and said she won't do that again. Management reviewed the case and decided that she didn't take $700, but offered to refund the lady's tickets, refund some other stuff, and give her $700 and the lady said no. Apparently lady wants $7,000 in damages. Shannel admitted she was rude during the show after being confronted but claims she didn't know what was fully going on and she felt like her character was being attacked.

This is a big lesson on why you don't touch other people's stuff. First and foremost a purse is really personal to somebody and they don't want a stranger in it, no matter who they are. But secondly, and more importantly in this situation, you can get accused of stealing, guilty or not. To me it looks like it was a large wad of money, not just a couple of dollars. But even if it was just a few dollars, if that lady got robbed by somebody else and didn't notice it until she saw somebody taking something else, you're gonna get blamed. And you can possibly be held liable. So lesson learnt, don't touch other people's ****.

I don't understand what's going on in the video in the first place? What is she doing with someone's purse? What is all that money in her hand? If she's stealing, why is she doing it in front of everyone?
