Kid Cudi slams Kanye West

Kid Cudi railed against Kanye West in a new interview published by Esquire magazine. The two musicians were friends and collaborators for several years, but they had a a public falling out in February after Kanye removed Cudi’s contributions from his “Donda 2” album because Cudi is friendly with Pete Davidson.

“I’ve been on every one of that man’s albums. He’s only been on two of mine. That should tell you something,” Cudi told Esquire about Kanye. “And don’t think I didn’t ask.”

After Kanye removed Cudi from “Donda 2,” he proceeded to post several anti-Cudi images to his Instagram page. One photo showed Kanye around a table with Cudi, Davidson and Timothée Chalamet. Kanye put an “X” over everyone’s face except Chalamet’s. Kanye also photoshopped the poster for “Captain America: Civil War” and depicted Davidson, Cudi and Kardashian as an opposing team.

“Do you know how it feels to wake up one day, look at your social media, and you’re trending because somebody’s talking some sh*t about you?” Cudi said. “And then you got this person’s trolls sending you messages on Instagram and Twitter? All in your comments? That **** pissed me off. That he had the power to f*ck with me that week. That he used his power to **** with me. That pissed me off. You f*cking with my mental health now, bro.”

Cudi told Esquire that he’s at a place in his live where he has “zero tolerance for the wrong energies,” adding, “I’ve watched so many people throughout the years that are close to him be burned by him doing some ****ed-up sh*t. And then they turn around and forgive him. And there’s no repercussions. You’re back cool with this man. He does it over and over.”

“I’m not one of your kids. I’m not Kim. It don’t matter if I’m friends with Pete or not friends with Pete. None of this **** had anything to do with me,” he continued. “If you can’t be a grown man and deal with the fact that you lost your woman? That’s not my ****ing problem. You need to own up to your **** like every man in this life has. I’ve lost women, too. And I’ve had to own up to it. I don’t need that in my life. I don’t need it.”

Cudi rejected the claim that Kanye is responsible for his career and assured his fans that he will not run back to being Kanye’s friend anytime soon.
“With all due respect, I’m not Drake, who’s about to take a picture with him next week and be friends again, and their beef is squashed. That’s not me. What I say, I mean. I will be done with you. It’s gonna take a mother****ing miracle for me and that man to be friends again. I don’t see it happening. He gon’ have to become a monk.” source

I agree with each word he said, but as a fan of both Kanye's and his music it makes me sad that we will probably not hear them together on a song ever again

He’s speaking truth and he’s not afraid. Kanye needs to wake the **** up and realize that he’s ruining some of the most real friendships and relationships in his life. This will hurt them both for years to come and it’s entirely Kanye’s immaturity and inability to listen to and respect others that has led to this. Saying this as a Kanye fan.
