Why Lana didn't win a Grammy yet?

I mean, she is one of the most iconic singers from the last 10 years. She is unique with her albums, videos + her voice is amazing.
I remember when she put Born To Die out, I was thinking that she will win all the Grammy's possible with that album. Then Ultraviolence came, and I saw her winning for the album of the year, and then Norman Fu**ing Rockwell was nominated, and I said: this is it, its her night.

I feel like she is not appreciated for her work, and she deserve more.

The Grammys are voted by actual people that work in the music industry and Lana just seems like someone that’s not very likeable. Maybe that’s why her peers don’t vote for her?

Maybe Lana doesn’t want to campaign as hard as them then. From what I’ve seen, people like Taylor Swift etc. have really elaborate award campaigns with personalised gifts etc. Lana doesn’t seem like the person that would care.

I think UV should have definitely won AOTY but it didn't get an nom so... Even if it did, Beck would have won it anyway because they seem to be obsessed with him. 

As for NFR, I think Billie deserved the win more that year so I'm not mad at that. NFR is great but so was  WWAFAWDWG and it was just bigger and deserved to win AOTY by far.

Lana literally has no connections behind the scenes with academy boards, directors and critics etc. Not in the sense that she isn’t able to buy awards, I just mean she has never really gone to award shows often or campaigned her releases to gain a critical reputation for herself. She doesn’t release music in the hopes she’ll get awards for it, but whenever she does she’s incredibly grateful and courteous

I don’t think she’s that interested in winning.  There’s a certain dance you have to do for music and film awards, not everyone wants to do it.

Despite Lana being very influential and the fact that she has garnered a huge loyal fanbase without doing much promotion or receiving much airplay, she wasn't actually a critical darling until NFR. Her music was very polarising with the critics up until that point, many of them didn't take her seriously and felt her style was a gimmick. I think that organisations like the Grammy's didn't take her seriously at that point either. But she played the long game and continued releasing quality music, while also forming a signature sound that is uniquely hers and exists within her own lane. When NFR was released they couldn't ignore the fact that it was undeniably brilliant, and critics also did a total 180 on her and began praising her as one of this generation's greatest songwriters. NFR probably would have won a Grammy, but unluckily she was nominated in the same year as Kacey's Golden Hour which was always going to win.
