Is Taylor going to tour Lover, Folklore and Evermore?

I’m in a very tour state of mind and I was thinking about how Taylor had done huge stadium tours pre-pandemic. She was planning a festival tour for Lover that got canceled because of Covid. Now that yours are going again, and she was so prolific during the pandemic, she is in the interesting position of having three hit albums of “new” material that she has never performed live (as well as two bit re-records of old material). What will she be touring when she decides to hit the road again. Many artists don’t feel an album has really had a chance to live until they’ve been able to perform them live and interact with audiences. What will she do with so much unperformed material?  Lover feels so long ago now, will she want to revisit it now? A folklore/evermore tour would make so much sense as they share a common aesthetic and sound and she could lean into the woodsy folky energy and take Aaron on the road too. But we’re those albums really a product of the pandemic and not resonate anymore now that we’re emerging from it? I’ve heAed she might release a new album entirely and tour that, with a handful of songs from L/F/E, but it feels weird to have ignored three whole hit albums of new material and never tour them.  What will she do? I don’t even know what I would do.

She'll probably do another record shattering stadium tour next year.:firega:

I don’t have any actually clue of what she’ll do, just an opinion, but I almost feel like she would do a stadium tour that’s based around her entire catalogue. Her tours typically center around performing the majority of her new record, but this time around with 3 new albums and the re-recordings, new vault songs/singles, All Too Well (10 minute version), etc. so she could just do a tour that’s a collage of her entire catalogue.

I’m sure she will, but my question remains… what will she be touring? Which album?

I would like that a lot. It would give her an easy way to pull songs from all these albums. But I know artists sometimes don’t want to look like they’re just touring “greatest hits” because they feel like they’ve become an oldies act. But here she has three new untoured albums.

I honestly think she won't tour folklore/evermore specifically as they're bedroom quarantine records and she'll want to do a massive stadium tour in scope. I suspect those songs will debut for the tour of her next pop record. Or, I sort of have this fantasy she'll do a career retrospective tour after she releases all the TV albums, possibly with a TV Greatest Hits package to boot. It would go really well with the Super Bowl performance we've all been hopedicting since the Pepsi sponsorship ended.

I was on vacation in London last week and saw her with HAIM. She talked about how good it felt to be back on stage, etc.,  so she might be getting ready for a full-scale comeback but I doubt it. I could easily see appearances at Coachella and Glastonbury, a return to the Loverfest idea that was scrapped in 2020

Inb4 she tours for Red [Taylor's Version], Fearless [Taylor's Version] and 1989 [Taylor's Version] and ditches all of Lover, Evermore and Folklore. :ally:

Yeah that’s true, I think she could pull out album cuts from over the years too you know? Really make it a deep dive through her catalogue.

As a swiftie seeing how much she files in that jet this year when she has announced/down almost nothing PUBLICLY I don't wanna see her tour the "world" (US, Toronto, UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, and Tokyo were the only dates on the rep Tour) until she can either stop flying privately a lot or give us an actually good excuse for why she does it. I'm sorry but climate change is gonna kill us in less than 35 years anyway.

I see her doing a Lover Fest type show, I think the most played album on the set will be Lover (with around 8-10 songs). I think she will do the most popular singles (Love Story, YBWM, WANEGBT, IKYWT, Shake It Off, Blank Space, and Delicate), and I think Sparks Fly or Our Song could make an appearance. I think for folklore: cardigan and august (maybe mirrorball and mad woman) will be performed. For evermore: willow and champagne problems (I think gold rush, no body, no crime, and maybe long story short) will be performed. For Taylor's Versions I think Mr. Perfectly Fine and The Very First Night are gonna be performed and that's it, as the setlist would be crammed.

I totally get that. But it’s the easiest way to refer to the fact that lockdown protocols are over and concerts are happening again after two years of being shut down. Even tho the virus is still with us, tours are obviously back. (I’ve already seen 5 of them this year with Gaga coming up next)
