SPOILERS AHEAD

So I was at the first London show of the Chromatica Ball, here are my thoughts :ohwell:

Absolutely fabulous to see all the fans dressing up (or undressing!) for the occasion. It really brought me back to crazy looks I had seen at the Born This Way Ball.

I think it's clever for Gaga to start with 3 of her biggest early as a robotic machine spinning around.. she's like a hit machine forced to perform the same songs over and over (spinning around like a record).

I loved how dramatically she ends this segment in pain, not able to walk alone (possibly a reference to her injury).

The looks for me are the show. It's a serve one after the other, and her best tour costumes since the Monster Ball and the Born This Way Ball.

The darkGa fan in me was happy. She is sexy and edgy. We even have blood and cross taped nipples (I mean come on!). Hair, body and face are so on point. :nooo:

Her voice is incredible . I'm stunned again with her high notes and screams. It sounds effortless. :cryga:

Now a few things I would have liked... this is just my opinion:

-One or two ARTPOP songs would have been nice. A bit shocked to not have Applause. I love how we all thought we were having Venus Lol!

-Where the hell are SFA and Plastic Doll :grr: Some of my favourites :patrizia:

-So long Alejandro and Paparazzi, I love you forever :what:

But it was incredible to have Monster :firega:

-A high catwalk/bridge would have been nice.

So in short for me it's definitely the setlist and maybe the staging which have room for improvement. Maybe the staging suffers from too many video interludes for my liking. But I love the brutalist look.

The staging may be missing some props.

I am sure we will cherish the setlist on the long run. I'm reminded how Madonna cut out so maybe early hits for the Drowned World Tour or Confessions but they are some of her best tours for me.

Does the tour need a clearer "storyline"? Maybe. It may be missing the camp continuity of the Monster Ball, and Born This Way ball.

This time she talks much less about what is going on. There is very little explanation/segways. Which is refreshing to be honest.

The looks, choreography, vocals, stage presence are a 10.

I even wore my Birth of Venus socks hoping she would perform it... :saladga: And I can't believe she cut TEOG.

I absolutely adore the outfits and the one for Monster is my favourite - when she put the glasses and jacket on everybody died!!!!!

I wish she was positioned closer to the front of the stage for the first three songs, as she was stationary this made it impossible for those sat in sections 5, 4, 3, 13, 14, 15 to see her at all. But these are hardly problems, I'm just being picky. I truly had the best experience I could have hoped for ever.

Don't be insecure if your heart is pure.

I was there yesterday too and it was an unbelievable atmosphere. Loved every second.. I was half expecting Elton John to pop up for a surprise performance of SFA since he lives around the corner haha

Things I didn't mention...

I loved it when she dedicated songs/the show to UK artists (such as Alexander McQueen and Isabella Blow).

And how she wore a Philip Tracy hat

It felt so natural and genuine.

Her dancing, singing and stage presence made me think that she is really back and could do this again and again.

There were a lot of flies before she started, I remembered that :poot:

I also wish there were higher stages for her to stand, I could only see her head a few times throughout the whole show from standing, until she went on the piano platform closer to where I were

but it was so f*ckin great just hearing all these tracks live, it’s amazing, and videos truly don’t do the sound justice :nick:

Omg yes :cryga:

I laughed about it being the iconic swarms of flies !

They actually were flying ants I think. We were covered in them Lol

Were people not up close to the stage? I had a friend live stream it and there was so much open space in front of the pit. Isnt that the GA pit section? Seems like other shows monsters were packed all the way to the front?
