It has been less than 2 years since positions came out. sweetener, thank u, next, the sweetener world tour, k bye for now, and excuse me i love you all happened in a 2.5 year time frame. They got 3 albums, a tour, a live album, and a documentary all in that time, they were spoiled more than any other fanbse except maybe Swifites. 

If Ari wants to just focus on her makeup bag for a little bit, then let her! She knows she's a singer, she hasn't retired, she just deserves a break. She gave a lot and it makes sense she's stepping away from music for a minute.

At the same time, Ariana has never been this silent about music. After the bombing Ariana was pretty vocal about her next album. Not long after, Mac passed and she shared a lot of what was happening with TUN. Then she was on tour and released her live album. A couple months later she started talking about Positions. She's always been open about the creative process and yes it spoiled the fanbase. She has every right to take a step back from the fans and music, but it's a change people have to get used to. Plus she's marketed her beauty brand almost nonstop, and we can see how it makes fans feel like they're just a product with HL.

She’s also starring in the movie version of “Wicked” which has now been expanded into two full length movies instead of just one.  That’s a huge time commitment. She’s working and the movies are musicals obviously so it’s a job that involves singing and of course they will release a soundtrack album. I wouldn’t expect another new album until after this huge project is over.

Fandom names are so 2010 as well. There are some real bad ones like Jessie J's Heartbeats (even if the meaning is cute) and Carly Rae J's
