Right.... not like the 20th century had two of the most destructive wars in history, had not one but two nuclear bombs used on civilians, oh and let's not forget about the Spanish flu or the Great Depression or Cold War or Vietnam or Korea...

My point is, while this century's start has been shaky, saying this century is as bad as the other ones is not a fair statement. But who knows what the other 80 years will bring.. :wtf:

That’s fair but yes you’re right.

I dont wanna come of as if im downplaying the situation it really sucks and of course i hope that it will not get worse but 1000+ cases for a country as big as the us is not that much

The US is currently the country with the most confirmed monkeypox cases.

Not discrediting anything that happened during the 20th century. I’m simply pointing out that we’re 22 years into the current one and living through quite a handful of historical events.

Monkeypox is still in its early stages in the US. It is just now starting to rapidly spread (or at least be detected). There are just under 5K cases so far.

Look up exponential growth. If you let something like this spread out of control, that’s what you get.

So, yes. 1,000 cases in one day IS a lot and shows rapid spread.

Im not saying its not alot at all im just saying that for a country as big as the us is not that much i mean 1000 plus cases is a very small percentage of the us population

Well, opinions don’t trump scientific methods.

Until they do and we get the COVID situation
