Interestingly, I think the songs that are heavy on the dance/funk/soul elements are the stronger of the batch, but that’s probably my own personal bias

It's not very danceable IMO ... I'd say hip-hop with some strong disco influence.

I thought I was going to like this more but nope. I hope it’ll grow on me. It’s upbeat at times sure but it feels dry. Maybe it’s just not for her.

Oh, THIS. Would add that it's very ballroom also. Very catwalk-y, if that makes sense.

Just finished my first complete album listen front to back, and I completely warmed up to Pure/Honey! Bloodpop DID DAT. The way it took until the penultimate track for us to hear that sweet spot in Bey's voice. I was lifted! And then Summer Renaissance was like icing on the cake.

I enjoyed the first few tracks also, for good or for bad, it played like one long track that culminates into BMS. Production is fire, but I wish there were more melodic hooks. I guess Bey has always been more rhythmic, anyway.

Middle section album is sort of more R&B uptempo, and where it goes a bit mid imo. 

Highlights:
- Alien Superstar 
- Break My Soul
- Pure/Honey
- Summer Renaissance

Also Good:
- Cozy
- Cuff It

I still don't get the Church Girl push. Maybe they're going for a sort of empowerment/anthem play?

I have a question for anyone who’s heard the album: does the last song sample I Feel Love???  is it a heavy sample like Anaconda or something you wouldn’t notice unless you look for it like Poker Face ???

There are a couple features on the album but none are credited in the song titles, so it's not just with Grace.

It's electronic, just retro electronic. She definitely threw it back with a lot of the sound on this whereas Chromatica did a "take inspo from the house scene and glitz and glam and pop it up."

I'm That Girl -> Cozy -> Alien Superstar start the album really good. These are meant to be listened to with heavy bass and LOUD.

Energy transition into Break My Soul makes me like the song more! It makes sense this was the lead single.

Virgo's Groove is so good, this is what I thought the whole album would sound like.

Move is interesting, nice to hear new Grace Jones.

This is the most different song so far, I like it.

All Up In Your Mind is cool but Pure/Honey omg>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> 

Summer Renaissance is exactly what I expected and I like it. This is Break My Soul 2.0 in the sense that it's its own Beyoncé song with some elements of I Feel Love. 

After just one listen I think my favorites are: Break My Soul, Cozy, Alien Superstar, Virgo's Groove, Thique, Pure/Honey and Summer Renaissance.
