Thank you French Little Monsters

I travelled from the US to Paris to go to Chromatica Ball, and let's just say it was the most chaotic concert I've ever experienced due to a bunch of different issues on my end. However, throughout everything, I felt such a sense of respect and kindness from the French little monsters that I wanted to speak about my experience. I don't know the names of the people who were in line and in the stadium around me, and if they are even on this site, but I really wish I could thank them for all they did to make this experience as best as it could.

The first mess began with Vivid-Seats sending me the wrong tickets last minute. I ordered 2 Golden Circle tickets years ago, and they sent me Pelouse Or and refused to give me the upgraded tickets (luckily I am working on getting a refund). Due to this, I queued in the Pelouse Or line for 10 hours the day of the show and oh my God it was so hot. After waiting for 10 hours, around 5:30pm the line began to move up to start having our tickets scanned. However, during this time someone decided to break the roped off gate that held part of the line together, and 40 people or so cut and stormed in front of me and my mom. It was frustrating because security didn't seem to notice and we couldn't do much about it. However, after awhile the people that we had sat next to all day, despite them not even knowing us, took the time to come and find me and my mom, and brought us back to our correct spot. They even defended us and explained the situation to the people who thought that we had cut. They didn't have to go out of their way to find us and help us, but they did and it was so so nice and we were so grateful. For the remainder of the night we stood by these 2 guys, and they were so kind to us.

Secondly, while we were in the stadium waiting for the concert to begin, I began to feel exhausted from the heat, and I fainted. Everyone around me was so incredibly sweet and automatically rushed to help me. People cleared room for me to sit, some sweet girl began to give me her candy, and others offered water and even walked to the front barricade to get me water. The rest of the evening the fans around me continued to keep an eye on me and allow me to sit if needed before the concert even began.

I was nervous going to a concert in a different country, but I just wanted to express gratitude and thanks to the kind and selfless French little monsters who went out of their way to help me. I've never had issues like this at a concert so I'd like to think that no matter what country I'm in people would react the same, however I can't express thanks enough. Though several things happened that were not ideal, the fans around me turned it around and I feel so lucky and happy to have experienced it.

So, if you were one of the people standing near the American girl wearing a hot pink two-piece jumpsuit, thank you for all that you did, your kindness will be the first thing I remember when I look back at Chromatica Ball Paris

Were you at gate R? We’ve had the exact same problem in the queue here. That’s why I feel like camping out and numbering fans doesn’t guarantee anything, there’s always a bunch of assholes wreaking havoc once the doors open.

I’m happy you’ve had a nice experience despite the various drawbacks. I wasn’t around friendly people once inside, so I did feel pretty alone - all my friends were in other sections, or completely out of reach. People are a big part of the experience, so I’m glad you’ve had it.

I was at at Gate H.  That must've been so frustrating for you Im so sorry to hear that :( It's too bad there are people like that and there were little to no consequences.

Honestly the image that's given to us abroad is like mean, arrogant, rude etc but the folks who actually come in France don't seem to come back more traumatized by how terrible we were than while traveling in other countries... :bear:

Glad you were helped, little monsters must be there for each other.

That was really sweet of all who kept and eye on you and helped you! Im sorry you passed out, that must have been scary considering it had never happened to you before and you were in another country. Were you able to be back on your feet in time for the show to start?

I love your outfit btw!!

Wasnt there a us date near you ?

I live in San Francisco and when I bought the tickets 2 years ago there weren't any West Coast dates. Flying to the East Cost from West Coast can be just as expensive if not more than flying to some countries in Europe, and since I bought the tickets after the first postponement I knew I had at least a year to save haha

Thank you  It was very unexpected and I was worried that it might happen again during the show, but luckily I was totally fine by the time the show began and was able to enjoy myself !

I think people just keep to themselves more from what I can see, and Americans who aren't used to that view it as rude LOL Everyone I've met in France seems to be very genuine and pleasant. The US is full of people who act nice but it's very shallow. I've found that it's much more genuine and less forced in France and the European countries I have visited.

Glad to hear you had a great experience and your outfit is super sweet!

I can only concur! Yesterday was my very first concert ever and I went alone to the show. I was quite anxious, but everyone was so friendly and helpful! I did have seats and was impressed at how neat everything was organized, even the security people were really friendly. The elderly couple next to me even tried to keep me entertained while waiting but due to my limited French skills and their limited English we didn't get far:ladyhaha: My bf, who traveled to Paris with me, but didn't went to the show, was insistent to pick me up after the show as he thought the night ride on the train/metro could be dangerous, but it was literally so funny with all the other fans and people, I did not feel uncomfortable a second.

On a side note: Idk where  prejudices against the French are coming from - I spent so many vacations in France (in different parts) and only ever had great experiences!

omg were you the girl who fainted in front of the stage? I remember seeing the parademics coming with a sort of "bed", I was so worried and wondered how's the person and if they missed the concert
