My experience at The Chromatica Ball (Stockholm, Sweden) - NO SPOILERS

THE SHOW:

After the first date of the tour I was a little bit scared, honestly. I expected the worst, since I read a lot of negative opinions about the show. However, after my date in Stockholm I can really say that the show for me is AMAZING. There were a few things that could be improved (e.g. she could have used the runways way moooore) but everything else was spectacular (the visuals were really... *chef kiss*). She did interacted with the crowd (I remember I've read that she didn't at all, in Dusseldorf) and she sang almost all Chromatica. At the end of the day, the setlist made sense too for me.

ME:

I wish I could be more "here and now" at the show, since I couldn't fully realize I was at Gaga's concert :laughga:. I also thought I could sing all the songs with her, but since I was jumping/dancing really hard I was often out of breath :messga: And I would have cried from the excitement, but being really tired (i was in the queue from 9:30 am with 2 hours of sleep) I didn't really have the energy. Have you ever been to a Gaga's concert? Have you ever thought that you did not enjoy the moment as you wish you could? I am a little bit of "obsessive/perfectionist", I am sorry. :fatcat:

I relate to this so much. I was SO excited about every little detail of the show, that I got a little overwhelmed. I still had an AMAZING time, but next time (I'll see her again tomorrow) I'll try to relax a little more to just appreciate her presence :laughga:. Which will be way easier now that I know what to expect.

And all of that excitement is part of the experience. She's larger than life when she's on that stage, so it makes sense that it all just seems unreal.

So wonderful to read of your positive experience :enigma:

Edit: and I felt like you during JWT by the way! I somehow couldn't connect to the moment, I was very busy with my surroundings and it was kind of annoying to not be able to feel things more. I didn't really queue for hours that time so maybe that's also why I didn't feel like I wasn't there.

I can be a bit anxious sometimes so I've actually watched a lot of this show in advance to mentally prepare and will go see her tomorrow. I'm very excited but still a bit nervous about where I end up. I think we'll go line-up somewhere in the afternoon with our regular GC and aim for the center at least. I'm a bit worried about not being able to see anything, and being stuck in a crowd for 3 hours before the concert whilst needing to pee. Any experience you can share on this? Haha:sweat:

I'm so relieved that I'm not the only one thinking this. This forum is great just because of that. I've seen Gaga the first time at Joanne World Tour, but the difference with the Chromatica Ball was the following: at the Joanne World Tour I knew exactly what to expect, since I watched all the videos of the show multiple times on Youtube :laughga:. I also made myself a CD of the songs arranged just for the tour, so I exactly knew when and what to sing. This time, I wanted to give myself a surprise, so I decided not to spoiler me anything except for the design of the stage and the songs which made to the setlist. As a consequence, I was very careful about all the details of the show and so I got overwhelmed too! I really wish I could see her again, but I don't really think it would happen this time :interestinga:

In Stockholm the fans in the line were really sweet and fair. They drew a number on our hands (indicating our position in the line) so we could leave the queue (to pee, or just have a drink/food everywhere else) and re-enter the line when we wanted without losing our spot. I really didn't expect all that kindness :ally:. The last concert I've seen (not a Gaga one) I was really scared of leaving the queue and lose my spot. But this time I was very relaxed about that. Probably it will be the same for you.

Aw that's so cute!! :enigma:How was it once you were inside? Did people still leave to buy a water or to pee before Gaga came on?

Yes!! To be honest, I forgot buying water before the show started.. but there were security guys which brought us bottles of water to make sure we were hydrated.

I can totally relate to this! I feel like I was stressed out about having fun so I forced myself to enjoy the show. And as a result I think I was too focused on singing and jumping instead of just feeling the moment and watching and listening the show lol.

However, the show was AMAZING and Gaga was truly a professional and just unbelievably gorgeous. :flutter:
