RahrahWitch 6,985 Posted July 23, 2022 Share Posted July 23, 2022 It went from being almost entirely based in Africa to being spread worldwide in a couple months so calling it a global emergency is accurate on the WHO's part but the media are going to blow this up to get clicks so they'll be acting like this is a new covid when it's not. It has a 3-6% fatality rate but It's not nearly as contagious as covid and we have treatments and vaccines so I wouldn't worry. Essentially, if you don’t meet the criteria according to your healthcare provider you can’t get it. Although I think you might still be able to register for outside of that so who knows.
