Pennywise 36,079
SPOILERS FOR CHROMATICA BALL BELOW So I think the Chromatica world timeline is something like this: At first, we have Rain on Me, with the dystopian-futuristic background alluding to a city that has an oppressive presence over its citizens. It also makes sense with the imagery of the album like: Spoiler Furthermore, the slightly militaristic imagery of the ROM video, with the spiky outfits and raining knives almost suggest that Gaga and her dancers (and Ari) depict a militia, or an uprising, against the government. They are dancing through the rain, and the Gaga above represents the government watching their every move. Spoiler And then, with the Chromatica Ball, Gaga actually gives us more insight on the situation in Chromatica. With its unexpectedly brutal outlook, Chromatica is not what we as fans - the public - expected at all. It is full of fight and pain, and industrial imagery. It's a much darker world than what it seems at the first look. Spoiler And what was the first look into Chromatica? The Stupid Love video. However, I think the Stupid Love video depicts Chromatica AFTER all I've mentioned above: Something happened and the world has reset into tribal encampments, who still are fighting between each other in the post-apocalyptic Chromatica. The brightness and colorfulness of the video is the representation of a madness that has taken over everyone that is left. Anyway that's all now I have to return to studying So long ggd, it was nice while it lasted.
Pennywise 36,079
Note: I obviously do not believe that the Haus thought of any of this like that but if I were to arrange Chromatica in a coherent story it would be this So long ggd, it was nice while it lasted. Tyler1992 2,264
Yay I love this! I love, love, love the direction she took with the Chromatica Ball. I like that it’s a different interpretation that we didn’t expect, yet still fits the world building!

She’s said this album is about pain and healing - the album portrays an incredible and fantastic life like fame, but when we as individuals reach that place, it’s very dark and much more frightening than we would ever expect. really, this paragraph puts the tour into a new perspective and is so genius.
