she basically roasted the full House Of Gucci movie from top to bottom trough the entire video but then she specifically weights on Gaga's aproach to play Patrizia.

love Mina and her yt channel but I respectfully disagree.

if Gaga met Patrizia, it's pretty obvious the narrative she would give her that it could have clouded Gaga's mind. Having not met Patrizia allowed Gaga to come up with her own judgements/choices based on her research and delivered a performance that was nuanced and also didn't takeaway the truth of the story. Also plenty of actors who have done biopics don't meet the real person they're playing in real-life especially if they are literally convicted murderers??

However in saying that, House of Gucci is far from perfect but Gaga's performance is what kept the film grounded and worth watching. period.

you can serve it to me ancient city style...

pop a 911

Honestly house of Gucci wasn’t that good of movie. The highlights were Gaga’s scene, but even then it was a boring film. I don’t really care for Gaga’s interviews saying it was about a woman navigating in a man’s world, it was about a greedy woman who has her husband assassinated because she couldn’t have him. :madge:

I think underneath it all Gaga wanted to meet with Patrizia. Like c'mon who wouldn't want that first hand access to her side of things. But I think she was too conscious of the public perception had she done that.

It was a tricky decision though so probably better to play it safe and I don't think it would've changed much about her performance or the movie as a whole if she did meet Patrizia.

I saw it too and she is entitled to her opinion. Tbh Gaga's accent wasn't really great. She was AMAZING in the role but the accent totally needed some more work.

Why do I care what some local on youtube thinks is the best way to approach acting in a biopic? She's certainly full of opinions and insight for someone with zero credentials, maybe she should apply her "expertise" to her own career :glamourpuss:

At first it seemed like she had a point and was going somewhere, but in the end she doesn't. She's putting everyone who's been portrayed for a biopic under the same context, when it's clear that there are some people you shouldn't go and meet, and it doesn't mean that the actor's being unprofessional for that.

I also don't like that because it's Lady Gaga, people try to clock and look at her with a magnifying glass.
