U.S and Israel to sign joint pledge against Nuclear Iran

Relations between the U.S and Iran are souring rapidly, after Iran became the first country to provide Russia with military aid against Ukraine (something that not even China dared to do). And with new intelligence reports that Iran is planning to assasinate U.S officials, the relations are guanrateed to sour even further.

Iran is presumed to be already nuclear, however they don't posess the ability to produce nuclear capabable missiles yet.

U.S. President Joe Biden and Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid will sign a joint pledge to deny Iran nuclear weapons on Thursday, closing ranks after long-running disputes between the allies over global diplomacy with Tehran.

Biden, who is visiting Jerusalem, told Israeli TV on Wednesday he was open to "last resort" use of force against Iran - an apparent move toward accommodating Israel's calls on world powers to present a "credible military threat".

Biden should stop arms sales to Israel too so the apartheid against Palestine can stop but we all know that will never happen and Israel will continue to kill Palestinians while the world does nothing about it.

In reality it's completely other way around. It's not Iran that assassinates people all around the world but US and its allies like rogue state Israel.

Being skeptical of the U.S is fine, but to reach the point that you blindly believe everything they say is wrong and propaganda and side with brutal regimes that are threats to the whole world, you have to question how far you've gone. This is conspiracy theories level.

There is no difference between thinking US can do no wrong and thinking US can do no right & any non-US country is always right. Both of these are dangerous propaganda-infused and ideologized takes. To think that only a certain country can be an agressor is simply illogical.

Exactly. We should always be skeptical and constructively critical of our governments, but if it reaches the point that we believe everything is lies and propaganda, it becomes self-defeating.

And it's not that I wanted to expose anyone really, but we tend to forget that many people didn't think Russia was going to invade Ukraine and that it was just U.S fearmongering. So it was a reminder to not make the same mistake with Iran. If Western Intelligence from both America and Europe conclude that Iran is close to acquiring a nuclear weapon, we simply can't shrug that off.

Tbh, I don't think this is a reason to start a war for, especially when these plans didn't materialize yet. I do think however if they are close to acquiring a nuclear weapon, that's a red line, and we'll have to think about ways to hinder their progress while avoiding civilian casualties. I would be in favor of strikes on exclusively military installations.
