Stuff like thug, etc. and yeah, thug in every context isn't always bad but in this case it clearly is not meant in a non racist way (and in 2022, yt folks should avoid using the language thug for the most part). Those first few years of being a Gaga fan were truly magic, the Monster Ball era had an energy that I don't ever think can be recreated. Just pure magic. I only saw it for the first time a few days ago so thought I would share. Agree with everything you said. It really was pure magic. However I still don't get what is problematic about accusing him of being a trump supporter just because he's black. Don't you think it's kinda weird to just view ""black people"" as this big righteous liberal monolith, as if they're not as complex and varied as white people in their views? But anyway, I'm not black, this isn't my hill to die on lol Because Trump has been particularly horrible and hostile to Black folks, so for any non Black-but esp. yt people who are not as victimized by Trump- to accuse him of that sits uneasy with me. People are not a monolith, but in this particular case it's unusual and rare enough that it just doesn't sit right. I'm a mixed with everything Latina and a WOC. I don't really consider myself Black because I don't 'read' that way to the public-I benefit from passing in that sense-and because by Lt. Am standards I wouldn't be considered Black even if by US one drop rule standards I am. I was born in the US by kind of grew up everywhere. I absolutely understand there are POC who are Trump supporters. But Trump is just so very racist that accusing POC of supporting him without any sort of real evidence seems like accusations of self hatred and so on. It's a bit like accusing a Jewish person of supporting a neo-nazi in a way, or a gay person of supporting a openly homophobic, calls for LGBTQ people to die, person. The fact that Montana has stated gaga is the best and sisters for life makes me think that gaga doesn’t know what is going on behind the scenes, otherwise she would be annoyed at gaga for not putting an end to it. and yes I know gaga is the face of the ‘brand’ and has a responsibility before someone comes for me.
