****ing finally. He should’ve done this before Wade got overturned but I guess better late than never. It’s a shame that all this bad stuff has to happen before he takes action.

While I appreciate the effort, this is nearly a band-aid as any consecutive president can override/revoke this.

Still helpful in the short-term though.

because no one knows the answer?

It doesn't impact the Supreme Court at all. Here's the full rundown:

It does not completely overrule the supreme court’s decision. Biden doesn’t have the power to do that 100%. It’s a step in the right direction though.

it will be litigated in court. We'll see how much power the courts decide this has. So far the supreme court has decided there is not a constitutional right to abortion. States have banned abortion. This is carving out exceptions based on other existing laws regarding access to emergency medical care and patient's rights, and if the courts continue to rule conservatively, it may get struck down later. But for now if states try to ban the pill for abortions, they will get in trouble with the federal admin and have to sue to keep their bans in place, where the courts will then decide if the state has the right/power to ban the pill or not based on whatever legal argument biden is providing here.
