Give the progressives in the Legislative Branch the votes, which they currently lack, to enact the changes you wish to see. But is that really possible in gerry-mandered America? Where Democrats in Wisconsin won the popular vote by 10%, yet somehow Republicans have the supermajority in both state parliments and can make laws in the state as they please, with the Dems having very little say? From what I see, the political system of the USA blatantly favors one specific party/ideology and every control mechanism that is supposed to prevent such abuse of power is failing spectacularly.
