What an anticlimax… I was legitimately shocked at that ending. I remember thinking, “What? THAT’S IT???” when the damn credits rolled while Elliot was looking into that fire. Not a bad movie, I liked the direction and essence of it, but that was definitely a bad ending… I just hate the fact that the 2 main characters went through so much together just for them to…..end up the way they did. Maybe it’s also the fact that the ending was just……too realistic? It left me feeling hopeless and depressed. I was crying like a baby after the film ended. Mother of Puppies 36,456
A movie that left me totally disgusted and feeling physically ill was Hostel Mother! was also a very interesting journey but I actually enjoyed watching it... a few scenes and the general topic has left me a bit upset though, but it's still a little masterpiece. Ivannn 1,131
Titanic,,, End always makes me think of life, passing of time and how unpredictable life can be. I lost someone very dear suddenly, in a day and Titanic always puts me in that blue mood. Still love it and wouldn’t change a scene in it.

alsemanche 93,927
Dancer in the Dark for sure. It's just overwhelmingly depressing and hopeless. It made me feel down for a few days after I first watched it, then I wrote a paper about it for a film class a couple of years later and had to rewatch some scenes on loop (including the final scene ) and I was genuinely depressed for a good 2 weeks because of that. Knowing what happened on set with Bjork during the shoot only makes it worse for me. Room (2015) also affected me quite a lot and I was sobbing by the end of it. EdgeofTeeth 1,934
Annihilation left me feeling more existential than any movie I've ever seen in my life and I had a panic attack I genuinely felt like life was meaningless when the movie ended and it was terrifying. I have a friend who said she'll never watch again because the ending hit too close to home for her, what happens to Jackson is one of her biggest fears.
