Not directly related but once when i was like 6 my class read a story in school about Gloria Estefan meeting a deaf fan and how they could feel the music, her taking them to a show and using sign language, etc. and i completely misread the entire thing and thought that it was saying Gloria Estefan was deaf. So then for like 6 years i thought Gloria Estefan was fully deaf and one day I mentioned it in passing and my mom was like "what in the hell are you talking about, Gloria Estefan is absolutely not deaf" and my life was so disrupted from there on out
