Even as a fan, I personally found it overbearing how she was trying to sell her acting in interviews instead of letting the work speak for itself.

Yeah, there were moments of iconicness in the HOG press tour but overall it got way too heavy with acting methods and everything that she claimed repeatedly like staying in the accent for nine months when the accent was wonderful but far from perfect. Sometimes I just wish someone would remind her that she is f*cking Lady Gaga and doesn't have to sell anyone on her actual talent or methods to achieve it!! I love how she has matured and grown as a woman but I wish she could find a bit of that unapologetic confidence she had in the beginning.

honestly i am not even that convinced she really method acts.

i am 100% sure she is well aware of how well it played during ASIB to say weird things during press tour and now she is just trying to be eccentric just to make people talk and create buzz.

I agree but then there was that comment from Freddie about he and the rest of the team being scared of Gaga when she was preparing for the role Patrizia.

Her team is along for the ride so I wouldn't put much stock into anything they say. Their comments fall in line with what she is doing and saying.

But seriously, that's why I think this could work out. The psychological aspect of it all  it fits Gaga like a glove.

1000% agree. I think the point was def to make you sympathize and went he went full on crazy it made you be like “DUDE YOURE BETTER THAN THIS DONT DO IT”. I saw a lot of myself in him dealing with mental illness myself and realizing I wasn’t diagnosed with anything til I was 18 and was rawdogging reality without meds.

I don't want to even entertain the fact, but does anyone worry about her method acting, remembering what it did to Heath Ledger in his similar Joker movie that lead him to passing? 

People drag Gaga for it but it concerned me when she let us know that during filming HOG she had to have a nurse on hand to make sure she was OK.

I love Gaga and I will support her choices, but we all know she loves to deep dive into the character. It just worries me as we know she struggles with mental health already. I know she's a professional however we have to consider this type of stuff now she's a mainstream actress.
